Occupational First Aid Certificate
Transportation Endorsement
Course outline:
This course is designed to prepare Occupational First Aid Attendants, Level 1, with the skills and knowledge needed to move and transport injured/ill workers to medical aid.
Prerequisites:
Student must hold a valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
Length:
8 hours of classroom instruction
Content:
- Patient handling and lifting techniques
- Spine Board and Basket Stretcher Immobilization Techniques
- Patient Assessment and Treatment during Transport
- Transportation Vehicles
- Aircraft Transportation
- Applicable First Aid Regulations
Certification:
Candidates are evaluated by the course instructor. Successful completion of course objectives results in certification of the T.E. course and it is valid for two years from date of certification
